★★★★★★★★★★4.2 · 412 reviews · 4 hours · from $41Our pick

Visit a 5,000-year-old temple complex, an old limestone quarry, and Malta’s famous Blue Grotto with a local guide. Guides such as Anna, Maria, Mary, and Philip are praised for clear explanations. Hotel pickup, transport, and entry fees are included, while the Blue Grotto boat costs extra and depends on weather.

“Maria our tour guide was amazing. She was full of information and you could tell she was passionate about the temples when she was talking about them. Slightly gutted that the boats weren’t running for the blue grotto. This was due to adverse weather though so not in their control. But it was still a good trip. I know I’ve said it once but I will say again, Maria was amazing!!”

Hotel and cruise-port pickup, lunch, admission tickets, and air-conditioned transport are included. The Blue Grotto boat ride costs extra and depends on sea conditions. The tour is offered in English, though occasional bilingual groups may occur.

“While the tour guide was excellent - well organized, informative, responsive - I was disappointed that we spent a very short time at Hagar Qim, didn’t get to see Mnajdra at all, and spent almost an hour at Limestone Heritage and the garden. I came to see the ancient ruins. We were rushed through viewing Hagar Qim in about 20 minutes, then later people were milling around the garden with nothing to do for 50 minutes waiting to leave. The times should have been reversed!”
